Misinformation To Miss Information Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Misinformation To Miss Information

Thriving and addicted,
To lies.
Misinformation.
Whipped up into a craze.
Marinated...
In tasteful baseless hatred.
Infesting minds deluded and diseased.
On a brew stewed in a kettle hot.
And served by the wicked,
Stirring this poison.
Until every drop in this pot stops.
Leaving many to believe,
Their own reflections should be worshipped.
They begin to see themselves,
As 'chosen' deities.
This mixtured blend,
Has left an effect on them.
Overdosed into a hypnotic trance.

Idolized.
They see themselves to be.
Idolized they've been told they are.
To see in movies.
And in scripted TV shows.
For the purpose to sell tickets.
Popcorn, chips, buffalo wings,
And that delicious blue cheese dip.

And...
Crushed into pews.
As if sardines in cans.
Listening to sermons,
Heard to preach.
About what it is that demons do.
And what demons do taught to teach.
Bought to buy and sold to try.

"My brothers and sisters.
And welcomed visitors all.
I confess...
I too have sinned.
I too have those temptations.
Like all of us have now and then.
And I am hear to say...
Demons know what we do to do it.
Can I get an 'Amen'? "

-Amen.
Preach it.-

"I can't hear you!
CAN I GET...
ANYONE TO KNOW IN HERE,
WHAT IT IS I SAY? "

-YES!
HALLELUJAH! AMEN!
PREACH IT! -

"Now...
Let us bow our sinning heads.
In prayer.
While the minister of music,
Fills our hearts...
With 'something' melodious and tearful.
To deliver our sinful tempting minds,
Where we all anticipate...
Our sinful souls,
Will again be forgiven.
Once more knowing...
How God loves us best.
To allow our lust filled hearts,
A forgiveness.
For our sins.
For those irresistible temptations.
And lastly, Most Almighty...
EVERYWHERE POSSIBLE YOU SEE WHAT WE DO,
GOD...
We humble ourselves to thank YOU,
For making it possible to pay on our bills.
Especially that cable bill.
AMEN! "

-AMEN! -

"Now, let us stand.
And prepare ourselves,
For the money walk.
Knowing...
To give,
Is to receive.
The more 'you' giveth.
The more is receiveth.
Believeth this to witness it!
Remember...
All that you give,
Is joyfully received.
Amen? "

-AMEN-
