Mirrored Souls Poem by Tatyough Terungwa Thomas

Mirrored Souls

Their parents' love, a perfect blend,
A union strong, a story to amend.
Their father's darkness, rich and bold,
Their mother's light, a gentle gold.

As they grew, their bond would strengthen still,
Through laughter and tears, their hearts would fill.
Their differences, a unique design,
A testament to love's divine.

The black twin's eyes, like stars up high,
Shone bright with joy, and a gentle sigh.
The white twin's smile, like sunrise wide,
Lit paths ahead, side by side.

Together they'd dance, hand in hand,
Their love and laughter, across this land.
Their colors merged, a beautiful hue,
A reflection of the love they knew.

Their story's told, in every gaze,
A tale of love, that conquers all days.
For though their skin may differ in tone,
Their hearts beat as one, forever known.

In this world's tapestry, they are a thread,
A testament to love's unwavering spread.
For in their differences, we find our strength,
And in their love, our hearts at length.
