why are we all wrapped in dark light? God is hiding His face from us! release - is a constant dream!
Apart from its structural and linguistic beauty, the poem has a wonderful philosophical content which makes this poem a great pleasure to read again and again. Thanks. I quote: engulfed by a ghostly aura / a soul helplessly contemplates / a formidable test of time.
There's allot to like about this poem. Again, you write about the soul and transcendence, but using s different approach in your subject matter and your style. You write with short, compact words to tell a very large story of life and birth. The line, from the very embryo, God spins his uncanny web of deceit. Immediately the reader is drawn into God's story. The second sentence establishes your argument, that life, in human form, given by God, locks the soul to the earth in a human form, which prevents transcendence. The terms 'inglorious thrusts' and grower and grown' makes me think about mother giving birth to child. Is this correct.... Or am I missing something? I love the final sentence of this poem, as I think it adds depth to your theme...engulfed by a ghostly aura, the soul helplessly contemplates a formidable test of time, which suggests there is indeed a reason the soul is here; and despite the lack of control or choice, the soul's life will have choice. Your word choices are beautiful. Well done!
