This is a bitter poem. And I have no doubt it is also honest. But the hurt that motivated it was obviously very, very deep. It doesn't matter if YOUR inspiration is autobiographical or fictional, the poem itself has the power of truth. This is also cathartic - which means as the ancient Greeks taught a temporary negative emotion like fear or anger washes away the negative condition. That has to happen because I would not want to carry the weight of this bitterness for long. Some people, however, are tempted to nurse their bitterness when they should be restoring their good will. Needless to say, your poem touched a chord in me. It's that powerful.
