The poem brings to fore the life, works and the struggle of Mirabai with those who were opposed to her worship to Lord Krishna as if he were her soulmate. Her obsession with Krishna continued even after her marriage to Bhojraj, the eldest son of Rana Sanga, king of Mewar. Her poetry is dedicated to Krishna and is popular in all parts of the country.
