Mine The Word Of God

Mine the Word of God
And find that shaft of light
To penetrate the darkness
And save us from sin's night
From death who is our enemy
Which can be turned into a friend
When we put our trust in Jesus Christ
Our life and our Resurrection

Mine the Word of God
And find true riches there
The wealth therein incomparable
And still plenty left to spare
For great and greatly to be praised
Our foundational Cornerstone
A house that is built not of hands but of God
Enter in and find faith's home

Mine the Word of God
Don't put off the discovery
The chains that hold you fast in sin
Can be loosed and you set free
So go to its depths and fathom
The riches of mercy and grace
Come recognize there the love of God
And seek ye the Master's face

Mine the Word of God
Pursue it with a passion
Though to some it may seem out of date
And to others out of fashion
For sin has dire consequences
A depletion of our health
May you mine the Word of God
And find in it untold wealth!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
