Mindless Self Poem by Prabir Gayen

Mindless Self

Rating: 4.7

Mindless Self

I do not find my desire,
My dream, hope and aspiration,
Where is that invisible source?
Day and Night I move here and there,
With my mind carrying it
Like a crown of feather,
Foolish may it be or fed up,
I do not find it loaded with desire,
With little awareness like empty
Vessel,
Where is that Bodhi Trees?
Where is that flow of Compassion?
Where is that scripture declaring
the beauty of deathless Joy?
I am ready to suffer to any extend,
and any length of time,
I am homeless and my heart
is empty with aliveness,
Without impatience I am open,
Where is that drum of Your
approaching footsteps?
My home is broken
and enjoying the Air from
all directions, with no peak
and with no abyss,
A virgin mind Unblemished,
Cloud of wish and demand has gone,
Only the clear sky is visible,
Then where are You making fence
between You and me?
My mind is not after anything
good or bad, beautiful or pleasant,
It has stopped jumping
between desires,
It is Meek and moderate,
Without the prop of ego
It is ready to pass through
mortification without concern,
Where are You with your heart
teemed with deep benediction?
Where is that eternal utterance
of unheard melody when Mind
is lost within its dominion?
The light without source,
The root with infinite elegance,
Where is the glimmer of Love
When I am not with all my nuances?
I am only with my self
touching the sky like dewdrop
That falls without looking at its back.

Where is that Bodhi Trees? Where is that flow of Compassion? Where is that scripture declaring the beauty of deathless Joy? Critical questions! !
