Yes, thoughts are like ocean waves. We have to be careful what thought we entertain.

A person can steal one idea but just one.... where is the talent before that.... Need steal again is not? ? ? ? And again, and again, , , , , I think this poem is about that... Liked so much Poetess.

Apparently seems to be a jumble in those few lines where oyster & pearls are hidden. And that pearl is found in the vast ocean signifying the mind....... very well done

Mind bears limitless thoughts....can excite magical things like precious gem as pearls of good ideas to the betterment of humanity!

@Shahzia, thanks Shahzia for the clarification. I think plagiarism is stealing pearls and gems of thoughts. Your poems are always thought-provoking.

Yasmeen Khan, good ideas and precious pearls both might be stolen, (that's why ideas should be discussed as inspiration with acknowledgement) , and there are gems, stones and pearls which can suit some but not all...the reference to an ominous pearl is there in the novel The Pearl by John Steinbeck too, where the protagonist throws it back into the ocean...thank you for the appreciation, and i am grateful to all poets who encouraged me here, and keep on encouraging me! ! !

Nice one Shahzia...So for the travelers, better read the waves, sail with the wind blows, and dive if you want...but ocean is wide as mind, we may lost if we forget the map.. find our territory, ethics_Soul

The poem gives a nice message apt analogy. Minds ARE like oceans, with waves of thoughts that bring oysters with pearls to the shore. (But why pearls may be ominous or stolen I couldn't grasp.)

Nice pattern in the poem recognizing the original by Ali Adamson. Only thoughts can be valuable and cannot be stolen. Beautiful rendering. Thank you.
