Above the godfather fedoras,
Black coats, orange-red scarves,
Above the women with bright red lipstick,
Men with lined Latin faces,
amid low chuckle of Italian speech,
drops like an incantation:
Gene Autry on the overhead,
melodious,
"Don't Fence Me In! "
