Midnight Train Blues Poem by Dorukhan Baris Oguzcan

Midnight Train Blues

I woke up cryin', with the rain on my skin, Oh, I woke up cryin', with the rain on my skin, That old midnight train—took my baby again.

The sky's been heavy, rollin' dark and low, Yeah, the sky's been heavy, rollin' dark and low, Ain't no sunshine left, just a lonesome glow.

I got whiskey in my veins, trouble in my mind, Oh, whiskey in my veins, trouble in my mind, Tryin' to outrun love, but love ain't the kind.

Someday the wind gon' carry me home, Yeah, someday the wind gon' carry me home, But that train keeps rollin', and I'm left alone.
