Midnight Thunder Poem by Daniel Miltz

Midnight Thunder

Midnight blacks out
And the clock strikes half staff
Thunder rumbles like a deep-belly laugh
Swooping down in
Betraying no emotion
Echoes, echoing
Rain on rooftop dancing
Praying to the drums tapping
Clouds boohoo dropping
Tonight is it's own creation blend
Silver shadows as lightening bends
Riding on the flow of dark ends
