Middle East Massacre Poem by narayana aghalaya

Middle East Massacre

'Kurds are no angels'
Trump said and left.them in.lurch;
by Turks with vengeance
with poison bombs to be butchered;
of meaner wars, we have no hunch

who then are angels?
those who destroyed Vietnam;
those who made a hell
for Japanese, with atoms
and bombs dropped with zero qualm?

Let Turks introspect
what their religion has.preached:
hapless Kurds expect
relief; give what you can.reach;
of bombs, stop this senseless screech; .

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Prophet Mohammed was astride a camel.
An illiterate Bedouin, ran and caught the camel's stirrup
and addressed the Prophet:
'O, The Messenger of God, teach me something for
me to go to Heaven with.'
Prophet said: "As you would have people do to you, do to them;
and what you dislike to be done to you, don't do to them. Now let the stirrup go! "
[This maxim is enough for you; go and act in accordance with it! ]"

Kurds were used by US in their war againstISIS. This war is quite complex with the involvement of Turkey, Iraq, and Syria. Now US has left the scene for the Kurds to fend for themselves. The ISIS is now on backfoot and might regroup!
Turks now want to push out the Kurds and are reportedly using chemical bombs against them.
qualm - sense of guilt
