Michael Jackson helped out a family he read about in a newspaper clipping. A mother had hurled her two young sons off a bridge into a causeway. Two samaritans attempted rescue of the children. The mother and the eldest son then only 4 years old survived. The two year old boy drowned. The mother was put in a mental hospital. Michael set up a trust fund for the surviving son. A few months after this occurance, the father, died of a dissected abdominal artery. The son was fortunate in two respects, someone passing by saved him from drowning and someone with a kind heart saved him from destitution. I'll always remember Michael Jackson for his great talent and his compassionate heart.

oh, anjali, this is right - both poetically and in true-life; a perfect write, the second stanza a God-send maxim to remind us of our lively nothingness - 'with a bait of incipient glory' that's what the devil, nay the world, offers - incipient glory; deprived of oxygen of colossal love. Indeed love that is love is colossal, a mystery known to mere humans, in love. Thank you anjali for reminding us of the merits of humility and our unworthiness (if not, the devil 'lures' us) . mark

He's legacy is know a lesson and salt of this world. The real life Peter Pan story. A story we all should see and take heed to what can happen to a blessing when when fame tries to drown you. Fame has a huge price to pay. Michael Jackson my brother and one of my fathers. Thank you God for this poem and for Michael Jackson our rear Peter Pan.

Excellent metaphors, vivid imagery, baked with the perfect recipe of words and topped with a ripened connotation! Doesn't get better than that, my dear!

Yes, I share the grief...an eerie coincidence between the two great legends - Elvis and Michael. Both died young. Both very enigmatic, hugely talented, successful and famous. More rich and mysterious after death. The aura of mystery surrounding their lives will keep people guessing for generations to come...topped by many investigations and eulogised by writers and poets. There's harmony in death. Good write Anjali. Cheers. Subroto

Too many words, Anjali. Too many words. Your title is brilliant. The pitiful theme of fame and blame is spot on. The language you employ is well expressed. But it's too long! Jackson was a child of a man, like Peter pan, caught up in the terror of celebrity. So keep your message simple. Cull some of the repetition. I think the poem would be much more powerful as a result. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
