Mental Well Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

Mental Well

Rating: 5.0

Looking over abysses edge somewhere down brains garden green lies the black hole of my own Mental Well

Body paralysed of the fears of peeking into life's nothingness the eternity of confusion at Mental Well and the despair of hitting rock bottom

Mental Well with its dark shadows radiate with its deepest blackest stone-cold walls holding the shame held within

Minds choices limited to either step into the mental well or suffer the stigma of staying on the brink

Mental well with its failed souls scream messages to take the leap to faith conflicting with the voices outside telling you to hide and be who they want you to be

Courage to pick hope the symbolic rock to test the depths of my Mental Well in anxious anticipation to hear the splash of serenities landing

Unknown, unsung and unperceived visions of what maybe or of what will eventually await me be it in this life or the next.

Heart now racing climatic sensations rising for decisions made moving forward to free the chains to cherish the optimism that I could be mental well.
