Mental Prayer Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Mental prayer is
the prayer of saints.

But it is not beyond
those who desire
to become saints.

Instead, it is the
pathway to our
high-calling to
become saints.

It is the way that
Jesus leads us to
union with Him
to find peace,
passion, and
purpose in life.

No book can
pray for you.
No book can
teach you to pray.

At the most,
a book can
be a useful tool to
lead you to prayer
as a new discipline,
or deeper into prayer
if you are already
a practiced dedicated
friend of Jesus.
