I'de get rid of him Ernistine1 (laffin') . However I like this, it has good structure and the theme (a complaint) is set up very well. As a piece on an aspect of human nature - rarely looked upon by poets - it has great originality. The odd thing is that it is not a universal 'truth' and so on one level this comes across as personal egxasperation whilst on another it highlight the importance, within meaning, of words,
always the heart needs that manifestation of tenderness which soothes the ten thousand things of everyday life and yes Please, should be spoken and yes, Please is an aspect of courage to show that a soul needs not only deserves, and, for a person not skilled in introspection they must be shown this necessity in gentle words yet firm else the intimacy gets twisted and sadly at times so corrupted love vanishes so Please tell the special other to say Please
Thank you. Please would you consider the possibility that there are men who can say 'please' and that there are women who can't (or won't) ? Incidentally have you read Lynne Truss's book 'Talk to the Hand'?
Truly, this polite word brings a lot of difference in our manners.Loved reading it.
