A straightforward, emotional poem, an elegy. It is a new concept to me that old men you see look just like your late father.
Exactly. I think a generation which respects the the people of older generation will make a huge difference in the society through better inter-personal relationships.
Very subtle thought, not a run-of-the-mill poem about a deceased father. I know exactly where he is coming from.
I too had the same feeling when I read this poem for the first time. It's emotional feel inspired me to do its translation. Thanks for the feedback.
CONTD...one day he must have thought today was the best day it was 5th of May
Very emotional and heart-touching account of your father whom you remember with fondness- RIP Dear Father. Thank you so much for sharing the moments of your personal life with us, Dear Poet Friend.
NICE memory of a father's life... I had the opportunity of living with him only for first fifteen years... then ere he died...add on another two years... Yes I did love him a poor fellow was he trusted every fool thinking every one is like a ''GULAB KA PHOOL''-a ROSE So one day when he arose the sun had not risen yet in the darkest corner of his home for eternal peace did he rest must have tried his best and to God left the rest was thirsty of meeting him
It's really very sad that your father left this world so early- about 40 years ago. Your words give him a perfect description- a poor fellow was he.... trusted every fool. My father too was cast in the same mould, Perhaps every thing has changed over the years.
Wonderful poem that touches the core of your heart. Equally wonderful is the translation by a wonderful poet. Thanks a lot Rajnish ji.........100
I fully agree with you. Anybody can relate to the emotional feel of the poem. It inspired me to translate the poem. Thank you, Geeta ji, for your kind words for the poem and its translation.
किसी भी वृद्ध व्यक्ति को देखते ही मुझे अक्तूबर का मौसम याद आ जाता है जैसे वो मुझसे कह रहा हो: मैं कभी तुम्हारा पिता था....so touching. Well translated. Enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.
I am grateful to you, Kumarmani ji, for all the support and encouragement that I receive from you through out my poetic journey.
Currently my voting option is not working, I will vote it some other day!
Every old man I see In October-coloured weather Seems to say to me: I was once your father........I greatly admire the expression loaded with tons of love and emotions! A beautiful poem (10)
You are right, Dr Dillip. The poem is loaded with lots and lots of love for the aged and the older citizens. Thanks for your kind words about the poem and ratings it received.
We can have all kinds of thoughts when we see old men stumbling along, including a fantasy that we are their son. Very imaginative poem.
