Memory Is Fading Poem by Rodney Dufault

Memory Is Fading

Rating: 5.0

I try to think deep, write and learn from myself,
for thoughts that I keep might return to a shelf.
The price though is steep; I fight and yearn for my health.
Sometimes I weep when the light turns from me. Help.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Temporal lobe epilepsy. This is my nightmare. Maybe it's my medicines, but my perfect memory is fading, and I can almost only remember the bad things in life. Maybe because they were from so long ago?
