Memories Of The U.S.A. Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Memories Of The U.S.A.

As we move into the future we leave our comfortable little
niches in this world, looking for adventures and surprises
to benefit us in the coming years.

Spreading our wings along the way, expressing our wish to
be independent and free to move through our country at
will because we have God-given rights to do so.

Thoroughly enjoying the beautiful landscapes as we travel
across the U.S.A., discovering many hidden qualities in
each private forest, desert and mountain.

So happy when traveling, keeping track of every memory
that we now make, taking everyone with us, sharing them
with family and friends in every state we go to.

Special memories happening everywhere we go, keeping tabs
in our minds of all the things we've done and kept close,
cherishing these little treasures just like when children.

A pocket full of empty novelties until we put our feelings
together with pictures of what we've found on sandy beaches,
deep forests and parts of mountains we've climbed.

All on our way to capture memories of the United States of
America that will forever become a part of the fabric of
our lives.
