Mellila Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Mellila

Mellila, male, meal, am, aim, me, Lila, lime;
Natural but, too small in size.
Arm, am!
With the muse of your love in the land of beautiful flowers;
Ram, arm!
With the works of your Hands in this town.

Conrad, corn, on, Dan, or, do, no, road, Dora!
Artifitial but, too big;
With the muse of your love in this town.
The muse of life!
To beat upon it like a drum;
Waiting for your turn to dance.

The muse of love!
Like the hope of your dreams;
With fun and games in your town,
But, learning the ways of peace.

Mystery! !
To the educated land afar;
Mellila, Mali, Ali, all, mile, Lea, Mia, mail!
With pin-up-girls and pin-up-boys;
And, with the muse of your love in the land of beautiful flowers.
