Meet Again Poem by Randy McClave

Meet Again

Will I ever meet you again
Like I did once way back then,
When we first had met
And when I never saw or thought you as a threat.
Will our paths ever again cross
Or should I just take it as a loss,
Maybe again I will see you in the store
As I had once a long time before.
Will I ever again see you on the street
Where we could just happily stop and meet,
Or maybe I'll meet you again at the club
Instead at a bar or pub.
Will I again meet you at your physician
Or maybe again at your beautician,
Maybe again we'll meet at the church
When for forgiveness you will finally search.
Will I ever again see you in my shower
Where I once called you a beautiful flower,
Or will I again see you asleep in my bed
As I protected you from dread.
Will we ever again meet where God leads
Or again will you head where the Devil heeds,
Will we ever meet on the same road again
This time without lies or sin.
Someday I hope to meet you in heaven above
When God is there with his eternal love,
But, will I meet you without pain and woe
That, I don't know.
