Rating: 3.5

The Lotus Sutra
Chant persists in waves to wash
Away o'er-reaching self
How sweet the calm of nothingness
Absolving silence!

True spirit of meditation expressed. Perhaps my poem on the subject, 'Seagull' may interest you.

Dear Sumit, I thought it best to check out your Seagull poem before replying to your comments here. Seagull is a singularly beautiful poem and, as you will see from my comments, worth a minumum of ten, which I gave it with pleasure. The images you have created are intensified in my mind as my favourite colour is blue and colour is an element I use as much as I can. I feel very much at home with your verse, my friend. Thank you again Norah. I've just read your latest poem. It's another stunner. Grief, love and tacit understanding. Great issues combining in a few very beautiful words. Now you've got two comments on it for the price of one! But that poem of yours deserves it. Tom
