Mecca on my mind! ! !

Could I have chosen this faith out of volition?
When another dangles juicy commission
Here daily prayers are obligation
But that is my love; I give my submission

Mecca on my mind!

My prayers, I observe as a form of worship
I would rather never listen to any gossip
Giving alms to the needy, is not yet old-fashioned
Fasting is abstinence; I am prepared

Mecca on my mind! !

Pilgrimage to Mecca, is the last injunction
After I had given my total submission
Oh Allah! Give me the wherewithal
As I want to complete it all!

Mecca on my mind! ! !
