Me, not thirsty of sycophantic clappings
Echo of bitter reality, I can digest.
Never expect reciprocal
Undue likes from me.
Flattering isn't
My hobby.
If you deserve respect and recognition
For philanthropic commitments
My heart will not inhibit me
To shower your with
Sinncere blessings.
Of mine.
I bow down my head before all those.
For their selflessness social deeds
Without expecting any returns.
A eulogy they deserve for
Authentic performance of
Their own.
Keep yourself away from crowd of yes man
They do appreciate your minor activities
Just to get undue benefits from you.
Their obsequious tendency
No doubt accompanied by
False appraisal.
Praising wealthy, politicians and people in authority
Has turned, indeed, fashion of modern society.
Assessment of someone's contribution
Can have empathetic flavour
But should not try to idealise
That person as icon.
