Me and my father left no place un visited,
And no stories left untold:
Daily episodes at school,
Deliberations on lessons learnt.
Happy moments to enthrall:
Nothing else mattered at all.
Mesmerised with the touch of the breeze,
Enraptured by the chirping of the birdies.
We savoured the floral fragrance,
Practised singing with steady cadence
Laughter filled the green fields and vales,
Grass and bees would narrate our tales.
We lingered around the market,
Strolled about the bazaar with a target,
Delved into huge pile of shining skirts,
Hand picked thatdesired byheart,
Grabbed some matching studs and rings,
Couldn't forget those lovely swings!
Aren't you tiredwould I ask,
my beloved lovely father.
Not when my sweet darling is around,
Speaks my father with so much fond.
What a blessing have I from thee!
The shoulder that keeps me anguish free.
Onesuchpleasant windy evening,
Me on the Velvety turf Lazing,
Will you come tomorrow asked I.
No answer came forth but a deep sigh!
Before could I comprehend what he didn't tell,
Mother woke me up, Its time to school!
Tears rolled down my chin,
Why did it dawn so early?
Withthedawn, my dream vanished,
With the dream, my father disappeared,
I was nine when father went for his everlasting sleep,
I live with my father longer only in dreams!
T'was god's call to His beloved soul,
So went he early - spoke my wailing mother.
Why isn't he coming when I call?
Question would leavemy mother appall!
