Maze Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Maze

As in the garden of wild dreams I wander,
Appreciatively the night blooms I gander.
Awash in lustrous moonbeams on scented paths,
I listen to frogs croak in nighttime baths.

The sinuous twists bring me to a green maze,
A handsome reminder of landscape glory days!
Inside the leafy jade wall a puzzle is hidden,
But from prior joy struggle has come unbidden.

I am twisting and turning through the night,
With no other friend but glittering starlight.
Lost in dreaming darkness once so caressing,
And trapped to hear lovely night birds sing!
