Maze Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Maze

Studied in college,
Technical, in Tehran,
Years ago, very young.

The course of computer,
To be good, had to learn,
The logic 'Not right? Left.'

Logic of binaries in science,
They spoke of nature,
Creation, seas, and earth.

We praised scientists,
Also, carbon fourteen,
The age of everything.

Charles Darwin…
And the ships…
Guns' powder…

Taught us of animals,
Volcanos and skies,
Bed of seas to clouds.

More learning got me lost:
"What about the stars? "
"A Big Bang, " was replied!

From then confused,
I stare at each part,
Of being like a child.

Every leaf of trees,
To running, stopping,
To eating, sleeping…

Study toes to chest,
By seeing a woman,
Picture sperms, ovals,
Growth of the breasts,
Full of milk to give birth,
"How it came? " I question,
Confused, I remain in a maze!
