Maybe Or Maybe Not Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Maybe Or Maybe Not

I look to the future,
Never knowing what's in store,
Hoping and longing,
For just that little bit more.

Maybe tomorrow or maybe not,
Should I be greatful,
For what I've already got,
Or maybe not?

We are never satisfied,
Walking around with our eyes open wide,
Anticipation forever by our side.

The unexpected hides out there somewhere,
Will it happen to me,
Is it waiting out there,
Who knows?
That's for me to find out,
And life to share.
