Maybe in my lifetime,
Our paths,
Will never cross again,
Somethings are never destined to be,
But I still think back to then.
Maybe you're out there somewhere,
Touched by the same regrets,
Going over the memories of you and me,
Thinking back to the night that we met.
Would I love you like I did before,
Could it ever be the same?
So often in my mind,
We are young and free again.
My thoughts are like a wonderful dream,
That take me back to you,
It's those thoughts that keep me going,
In this lifetime through.
Maybe there's a glimmer of hope,
That there's a chance for me,
That one day our paths,
Will cross once again,
Only fate holds that golden key.
