Maybe Not Poem by Ailbhe Eighteen

Maybe Not

It's kinda get awkward
Getting a conversation with a guy
Of courtship thing
Maybe it would not if we start it over again

Before that would be a jolly talk
Cautious in words
Balancing feet in the rope of grilling
Both looking after the chat of glee
Not void
Not vain
Yet the fire could subside
But you see maybe it would not if we start it over again

The guy would make the girl blush
The bashful girl would slowly run
Closing doors and hurry to her cover cloaks
But probably not when you start it over again

They would say she's too nice and proper
Too afraid to crumble down
Too perfect and stern
But maybe not when you start it over again knowing her

You might say I'm crazy for these lazy words
I think so too
But maybe not if I start it over again.
