Maybe Marriage Isn't For Me Poem by Brett White

Maybe Marriage Isn't For Me

Maybe a wedding isn't for me,
Maybe I'm not who I wanted to be,
Yet I wouldn't alter a single thing,
And at the altar of God I shall sing.
Praise God for His tender mercies,
For He soothes me when others hurt me.
Alone I never am with my Redeemer,
And I hope we'll always be together.
Because life sometimes drags me down,
Turning my smiles to the saddest frown.
Yet I shall not despair for God loves me,
So I'll remain loyal to Him for Eternity.
Do you believe in God? because I do,
He's the Source of all that's Good and True,
There is no darkness in the Father of Lights,
And with renewed hope my Spirit He ignites.

A sad title for a poem of comfort, accompanied by a lovely and peaceful picture! .....But don't give up, just yet. They say that as soon as you quit looking and are content in your singleness, SURPRISE! God drops someone right into your lap, when you least expected it !
