May Your Love Penetrate

May your love penetrate Lord
The heart's of those who care
And burden us with longing for
A fresh renewal of prayer
To see our loved one's come to know
The One that we know best
And have the joy of sins forgiven
To know that they are blessed

For old age creeps up fast
We grow so far apart
Then we hear of all the ailments
The sufferings of each heart
We wish we would have prayed much more
Gone the further mile
Lightened up a load or two
And left them with a smile

Lord give grace to reaffirm
The essence of our love
And focus on your love for them
Your watching from above
Place our lives in contact with
The children of our youth
Give us opportunity once again
To share with them the Truth

That Jesus Christ can be known
And enjoyed beyond compare
And lives inside each believing heart
In answer to a prayer
And may they call upon that One
Who's waiting everyday
To hear a repentant heart cry out
When they turn to Him and pray!
