Rating: 5.0

WORKERS JAI HO
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
in Karnataka five day week mooted.
for pillar-to-post public is it suited?
workers can make merry,
with picnics, say, on ferry.
relax; in staff welfare, plan is rooted.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Karnataka is a State in India. The local Government currently works six days a week, Sunday being holiday. There are plenty of other holidays, festivals.. when the Government is closed. Now it is proposed to have five day week. General Public who seek to redress their grievances have to run from pillar to post; now that will become more difficult, with five day week (if it is approved) .
