A magnificent write that depicts the realities of life and nature. Weather dictates the abundance of water. An insightful and thought provoking piece.10
It has been well below average for the first half of spring here. Tomorrow, the 1st of May, will be 80. I am not a fan of HOT, but I know it is coming. You have laid out your premise, as always, with eloquence and insight.
April was not too bad to rule. My sixth sense has received a mayday signal from the static ship of weather. In a country on the shore of too hot Arabian Sea... bird dies, animals die, trees are without leaves, scorching sun in the indian summer. Rain rain where ar u. Gods pour out rain.... thank u dear Akhtar.. tony
Such a true picture of a nation facing energy crisis and shortage of water. What else remains for life, only love.
The last stanza I find in the note area is my favourite lines! There is a lot of philosophical depth in this poem! Appreciated...10
Akhtar, an imaginative poem of substance. Loved the use of The Ancient Mariner.+++10
A wonderful poem, Akhtar. The issues you deal with can be profound and serious. Yet your words have a dreamy quality. I see a ship traveling across the sands.....I can hear the refrain, 'water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink.' This work stirs the imagination. Great verse, Akhtar.
