Maturity Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Maturity

When I wear shirt and no short
Cleansed by mama in the expose
My inquisitive mind entreat to fathom
From maternal uncle so esteemed
What is taking in the radio?
The rejoinder furnished was:
The cranium of a man cut off!
Baffled and conundrum it provoked
Mock my Achilles heel of immaturity
Yet my innocent intellect in reverence accept.

Now don I shirt and short
Lather and rinse self under cover
The curious mind need not query again
Though dear uncles lives
His impasto reply still evident in mind
What is taking in the radio?
My grey matter can't be mocked again
It is wire1 wire11 wire111
And no head of man cut off.
