Master Stroke Again Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Master Stroke Again

Master stroke

I was feeling proudly
Arrogant and greedy
I thought the will never set
And seal my fate

I was up in air
Then all of sudden fell down from chair
It was no earth quake
But some bad news that had shaken me

I realized then
It was no heaven
But life was full of uncertainty
My empire had been crushed already

I was penniless
With no source
To pull off from rubbles
It was start of great struggle

It was master stroke
And turned into cruel joke
The jewellery and ornaments had gone
And palace was on ground

What was there to claim?
Except shame
Pain and nothingness
Plus gloom to share on face

So keep everything under control
And bring
Personal arrogance and pride
In one corner or hide

Master Stroke Again
