I want to throw this mask away, far away It is designed only to always smile. To hide true feelings behind a lie Even if you are dying inside......very true. the society demands it from us. sometimes we ourselves like to live behing the masks covering our true self.. masks, mask mask everywhere masks... this is our modern life. unfortunate............ you have brought out a fine point through your poem. thank you very much dear poetess.. thankyou again. tony

It is obviously in human nature. Depending upon our status in the society, we tend to get reserve and to live behind a mask most of the times despite our abhorrence to this duality. Nicely articulated. I wish there was someone Who would hear my unsaid words and feelings Who would feel my hidden scars.... And yet would accept me like a perfect being.
