Mask Poem by Namita Rani Panda

Mask

Rating: 5.0

With the makeup of moisturizing powder
for natural touch and glow,
mascara and eyeliner for enticing brows,
nectar lips with lipstick, lip gloss, lip liner
I look at my beautiful reflection in the mirror
and I spread a crescent moon smile with a
great satisfaction.
But through the eyes of my reflection
peeps my ever active conscience
and with a sarcastic smile asks,
"Are you really what you really appear?
What is the need of wearing this mask dear? "

Wow! A pragmatic write! Many times we embrace artificial beauty just like a mask! Brilliantly penned! (10)
