Yes, I thought I am reading another Mary Had a little Lamb. I hope the SNAKE is NO MORE ALIVE NOW. When you said 'Mary reached for her cute rear' I thought some kind of WORM.... But the twist made me think of YOUR FOXY BRAIN aka BRIAN....I enjoyed the rhyme and humour.5 Stars.

FOUR COMMENTERS IN 11 years? ! Wow, I'm UNDERWHELMED indeed. I'll bet 'tis 'cause some readers died of laughter, or perhaps of heart attacks. BUT the commenters are got were ALL special to me!
Well, Bri, that beats any of my snake poems to bits. It's very funny indeed but you don't specify which orifice Mr Cobra had as a temporary resting place! I suppose you left that up to the reader.. I bet they didn't repeat that bring a Pet to School exercise!
It was said long ago that Mary had a little lamb, but in different days and different times, Mary became Scary. A very funny poem and I loved the ending (not that I condone violence and tragedy) . My only questions are, Where was she hiding it all day? and Why didn't it bite Mary? I guess Mary was so Scary that even a cobra was afraid of her. And as far as having Scary Mary in my class, I've seen scarier, I've looked in the mirror. Darla :)
