Marsh Buttercup (Caltha Palustrus) Poem by john (called jack) wren

Marsh Buttercup (Caltha Palustrus)

Uncontrollable emotions
rush through my head,
as I gaze on this beauty
stretched out on her bed.
In her place by the river
where the earth is damp
she flirts with the scenery
like an unscrupulous vamp.
in a manner so seductive
that's not seen elsewhere
she'll dress to entice you
to lay hands on her ware
of rich yellow cups
and saucers of green,
overflowing abundantly
with her best cuisine.

Caltha palustris.
