Really thought provoking poem. I think women in relationships with violent men feel particularly caged. Have you ever written a poem about domestic violence? not one that justifies it, obviously....?

Marriage can be this way with the wrong partner

yes, marriage makes ones life trapped or caged, we lose our free will in certain cases yet surrendering one's will to others whim is also enjoyable, wel l penned poem thanks for sharing.

Irrespective of all of it's criticism the institution of marriage thrives, may be to keep society in order and/or for reaping fruits of a meaningful and mutually beneficial relationship. A Thought provoking poem. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
