The marmalade of love keeps spreading
like a grass belt upon the river banks,
nothing stops lovers from finding love-
the necessary ingredient of life
though unseen it depicts its glamour-
so priceless yet affordable to all;
love makes someone command love,
someone demand love
love forces someone to lose freedom,
someone to sacrifice status,
the power of love so indispensable from its inception;
as each one on each other depends for support and fondness
when time keeps exchanging age and positions,
circumstances and situations.
Love keeps oscillating as much
as its pendulum touches one heart to another
creating a mutual need and importance,
everywhere stand mothers with caring arms around their infants
everywhere are old parents searching for care and comfort,
responsibility and duty moves man through various stages,
the marmalade of love keeps spreading
as friends find friends to fill their time slots
with fun, frolic and enjoyment.
And as one begins to gain favors of love,
another feels jealous,
if one refrains to share love,
another awaits to offer love in excess,
some choose to ignore love,
some welcome love, some over-value love,
all in the momentum of scoring love over each other
ask each other, blame each other, depend on each other
thus under-estimating happiness, over-estimating love,
in the action they forget life without love can sustain
love without life is impossible and unthinkable
as love is such a feeble emotion
though strong in endurance, in necessity, in strength
love itself ignites amorous feelings in man and woman
vibrating ripples in their silent hearts, creating an unity
with the marmalade of love helping them to maintain
a consistent harmony conducive to gentleness of time.
