The festering 'I' can almost be surrendered
To three immensities: water, sand and sky.
How pregnant with meaning! !
The vastness of Marina beach and the squalour and rush of Madras city with cyclists moving like silver fish, 'lorry whales' and 'motor sharks', the clogging traffic and their honk prodded movement.... all wonderful word pictures!
