Many Of Us Poem by Francis Duggan

Many Of Us

Many of us humans are prone to conceit
And many of us are guilty of deceit
And many of us are greedy in some sort of a way
The perfect human being is not living today
In this the twenty first century the egotistical are not few
And this is not saying anything that is new
Us humans compete with each other for this thing known as success
And vain in our ways others like to impress
Humilty nowadays seems a thing of the past
One of the things in life that did not seem to last
In a World where many for themselves wish to make a name
And yearn to be billionaires and know of great fame
You will not meet a humble one on every street
In fact they are becoming harder to meet.
