thinking deeply
I don't want to talk
staring at the cracks
in the sidewalk
and objects that
people have lost
while crossing all
the streets they've crossed
lights shine down
upon my face
this would be my favorite place
if you were here
to make me feel
as though this city
contained something real
but I just sigh
and walk along
acting like
there's nothing wrong
the sights I see
and sounds I hear
can't make this feeling
disappear
of all the things
that I could do
I think of how much
I'm missing you
I'm normally not
this insecure
but in this mass of dreamers
I feel so unsure
and I get to thinking...
I hope a piece of me is carried to you
by the summer wind
if I never see you again
if I never see you again
night starts to fall
and I look around
as the sun is swallowed
by the ground
I get pulled
into the crowd
in Times Square
big, bright, and loud
for fifty cents
you get the same old news
flashing signs
reds, greens, and blues
taxi cabs
and shopping malls
for miles and miles
skyscraper walls
and I get to thinking...
I want to stay here until the world
finally comes to an end
but then I'll never see you again
then I'll never see you again
because this city's
not the same
when no one's there
to say my name
I've been walking
by myself
a stranger to
everybody else
so let me love
and let me live
even I have a gift
that I can give
the world won't rest
or carry on
until it has heard
Manhattan's song
what if I never see you again?
what if I never see you again?
what if I never tell you I love you again?
what if I never see you again?

I would like to translate this poem

You're so good... your words... wow.
