Kavya Akka, a timely write at the scary and dreaded times. @Kavya, Valsa Ma'am and Dinesh Sir: Rape is not Indian culture. Neither the tearing of body like Bheema did to Jarasandha or penectomy. Either we should blind the eyes of Humans international and execute them in the traditional way (Lethal Injection, Noose or Bullet) or we should condemn them for life. Showing examples by stepping down from humanity is not advisable, to my knowledge and belief

I completely agree with you Valsa Mam, the treatment should be nothing short of amputation of that vital 'tool'!

Appalling incidents follow one after the other..... I often wonder if it is savagery, some hormonal imbalance, blatant denial of human dignity or some acute form of paranoia! ! But its treatment is nothing short of amputation of that vital 'tool'! (Did I use unparliamentary language?) Let us, at least express our concern, rather than being dumb about this inhuman assault on women! ! Powerful write, Kavya! !

@Dinesh Sir, thx for your views on this poem. I wish our country metes out such harsh punishments to these people who get involved in such brutality. What is more shameful is inspite of the crime being the same, the Indian law first sits n decides who is a juvenile in this case, so that the punishment is not that severe compared to others who are not. What more shame than this one, y see the age, wen the act committed is brutal! ! ! ! !

Every man begins to feel the shame of being in that gender Kavya. The punishment for this type of brutality should be as follows ' Tie their two legs to two different cars and drive them in opposite directions` I have seen one such punishment being executed in a Saudi Arabian cine show. I think the shiver that goes down the spines has to be felt by all who think of outraging the modesty of women.
