Mammon Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Mammon

You think you can bargain with the dragon
When the beast already prepares for war
While you were worshipping your god mammon
The red machine was strengthening its core

This juggernaught all but unstoppable
And it cares nothing for your human right
You must have been living in a bubble
For what's to come is the ultimate fight

Never believe your own publicity
Those who seek knowledge will be rewarded
These proverbs of utmost simplicity
Have been ridiculed and disregarded

I hope ratchild has something up his sleeve
For many a mother is soon to grieve
