Agree very much with you Paul. I happen to live in Kelantan and the show of solidarity among the people was so great and so heart warming. People and goods flowed in and helped where help was most needed. Some came with the idea to go to the worst hit area but when they realized that their help was most needed in the hospital in Kubang Kerian, they did not hesitate to deliver the help there. The goods keep coming in. The cooperation and the heroism displayed was superb, fantastic. I am proud of Malaysia!

The unity and determination of a nation in the time of a great natural disaster are clearly evident in each line, also the magnitude of the calamity! The epidemics that spread, the escalating poverty, the dislocation of the survivors etc in the wake of a calamity are much more heart rending than the immediate casualty! Only united and concerted efforts can bring back life to normalcy! A great description of a life crippling event!
