Malarial Dream Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Malarial Dream

Just returned from the stream
Where I had a swim
My body continued to shake
But I refused to know what to take

Now I am feeling feverish
But I do not think I am rich
Need to take some medications
But I am deep in serious pretensions

Am I battling with cold?
Many of my sweaters are already sold
This situation calls for redemption
Take a look at the apparition

Oh no! It is a dream
A malarial dream
But I am covered with sweat
May be I should go for a retreat
