What greater phenomenon and delight to the eye
Than trees with leaves swaying gently in the wind.
World's lungs creating oxygen, supporting life
Jungles, forests, woods, all keeping humanity alive
Mankind's crown jewels, each tree precious
Inheritance and protection against global warming.
Cutting down trees, burning to make grazing land
Jungle dwelling animals forced into extinction
With money and greed before sustaining world's lungs
Thousands of trees felled daily with loss of oxygen.
My heart rejoices and sings when I walk among trees
With shafts of sunlight streaming through the foliage.
Seeing flowers, birds, squirrels, badgers, and deer
And the cunning bushy tailed fox scampering away.
